Katrina Lake L.Ac. has studied the healing arts since she was 16 years old. Her studies began with hands on healing, and her teachers included, Barbara Ann Brennan (Hands of light), Bruce Burger (Esoteric Anatomy) and extensive Reiki training.
She studied all forms of massage extensively at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe and lived and studied for a year in Northern California at the Heartwood Institute where she received a degree as a holistic health therapist and a Registered Polarity Practitioner.
Katrina was also employed by the lab of Flowers in Los Angeles where she trained as an aroma therapist and completed her training to become a master of blending essential oils. She helped organize a trip to Provence where she was able to travel and visit the farmers who distill the essential oils as well as visit the fields of flowers in Grasse where she helped to pick Jasmine that was used to make essential oils. Katrina has had 20 years of experience creating personalized blends for patients.
Katrina worked as a Nationally certified massage therapist for a decade at such prestigious spa’s as Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai, California and Ritz Carlton Huntington Hotel and Spa In Pasadena, Ca.
Katrina attended the prestigious Yo-San University in Marina Del Rey, California and graduated with honors with a Masters of Science degree as well as a Masters of Chinese Medicine. She is schooled in Chinese Medicine, Nutrition, Chinese Herbology as well her favorite healing art form acupuncture which is her primary modality on which her practice is based.
Katrina was mentored by Dr. Daoshing Ni and worked under him at Dao of Wellness where she learned the art of treating patients for fertility and gynecology.
She has been in private practice since 2008 in Pasadena, California and owns Lake Acupuncture Inc. Katrina has a boutique practice where she specializes in Gynecology and Fertility. She works closely with Reproductive endocrinologists to create a team approach to the journey of getting pregnant. She also works with patients going through major life transitions such as oncology support, menopause and times of high stress where patients need support and healing to maintain balance.
